SCANNING & SURVEYING

SURVEY QAQC

Survey quality assurance/quality control (QAQC) is an independent survey for the purpose of making sure the project is progressing according to plan by verifying the Contractor’s Survey Control, both primary and secondary, as well as staked or built Walls, Structures, Alignments, and Building Footings. Our QA/QC experience includes multiple light link rail projects.

SOUND TRANSIT EASTLINK 320-360

SCE provided Surveying Quality Control and Construction Management covering the 0.5 mile tunnel under downtown Bellevue, tunnel portals, four light rail stations and aerial guideway across I-405 for the E-320 to 360 segments of the work.

SCE survey crews checked for discrepancies in the contractor’s survey control and reconciled the information with Sound Transit and its contractor to ensure the construction staking met the project specified tolerances.  We were frequently called upon to verify contractor progress and provide topographical and utility as-built information for use in design and design changes.

FEDERAL WAY LINK EXTENSION

SCE verified location of elevated light rail support columns and re-established street monumentation affected by the project.

DOWNTOWN REDMOND LINK EXTENSION

SCE verified contractor’s survey control, provided adjustments for accuracy of vertical and horizontal datums and conducted as-built survey for multiple elements of construction as requested by the General Engineering Consultant.
