Transportation and Roadway
A significant portion of Jaime’s 28 years of experience has been dedicated to transportation related development. With over 6 years combined experience as a transportation engineer for Colorado and Washington Department’s of Transportation he has been responsible for design, review, and construction oversight of multiple roadway projects, signal systems, transit facilities, airport, urban and rural roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation. He is current and well versed with local agency standards, viable LID methods, and the AASHTO green book.

SCE offers a full range civil engineering services and has extensive experience ranging from assessment of existing conditions, renovation, traffic & safety improvements, to facility and infrastructure expansion, and all new site design and development. We are familiar with Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol (WSSP) as well as Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) requirements and regularly evaluate opportunities to implement low impact design elements (LID).

Institutional / Educational
SCE recognizes the common issues associated with institutional developments such as ADA and public accessibility, security, utility services, service access, and owner/architect vision. Our experience allows us to meet program requirements within the project constraints.

Residential
We understand the unique needs and challenges that are often inherent with residential projects. Single and Multiple residential projects often require thorough analysis of existing conditions with limited topographical survey and geotechnical information. Our experience and in-house resources allows us to efficiently develop site plans that meet both owner and agency requirements within common budgetary constraints.

Commercial
Our experience in development of commercial sites has given us the tools to address the special requirements associated with this type of development such as: parking, fire and delivery access, and integration with existing infrastructure. We continually interact with the project team to ensure coordination among the disciplines.

Value Engineering
SCE is dedicated to ensuring that owners receive the best value possible with every project regardless of size. Our experience has proven that opportunities exist for costs savings during all phases of the project from schematic design through construction. Our staff includes a certified Associate Value Specialist (AVS) with an architectural design and project management background allowing SCE to offer a unique multi-disciplinary approach to value analysis. We implement VE measures with each project we design and regularly provide VE consulting services for both civil and architectural elements to other firms.
